Dear Guests, Covid-19 has challenged all of us and changed the way of travelling but we want to let you know we are doing our best to ensure a safe and memorable stay with us. We should give up hugs at The Coo’s but we can give smiles!

We have been granted the “WE ARE GOOD TO GO” sign by Visit Britain and we have achieved our

To minimise the risk of Covid-19 infection we have set up new measures, include:

*Enhanced cleaning beyond our usual high standards. All key areas of the guest house will be cleaned and sanitised to government guidelines on a regular basis, including door handles, light switches and regular touch points. All guest rooms will be cleaned and sanitised using high quality cleaners and disinfectants. All linens will be washed above 60°C.

*Provision of hand sanitiser for guests.

*Provision of Staff Personal Protection Equipment as mask cover and disposable gloves.

* Maintain social distancing between staff and other guests.


Cleanliness has always been our priority at The Coo’s Guest House and we are following practice indicated by Government and the World Health Organisation guidelines.

1. Social Distancing

We are putting in place social distancing measures where possible, such as in the reception and breakfast room.

2. Hand Sanitising

We have placed Hand Sanitiser for guest use at the reception

3.  Cleaning and Disinfecting

All key touch points are regularly cleaned using EU standard BSEN1276 sanitiser

4. Staff Health, PPE and Cleanliness

Staff will have their temperature checked every morning. We will be wearing face coverings when in the guest house including at breakfast service. We will be wearing gloves when cleaning and serving food. We will be following strict guidelines for hand washing.

5. Express Check-in

Auto check-in is available at the property for guests who require it. A “contactless” welcome is provided as standard check in procedure, payments are collected by online system and personal data as name, address, etc as well.

Guest requests are handled by message before or during they stay.

Front desk staff wear facecovering mask and disposable gloves, hand sanitizer is provided through the property. Guests are invited to maintain social distancing while the check in procedures are carrying on.

Keys are disinfected and handled directly to the guest.

6. Air Flow

We will keep doors and windows open as much as possible to increase air circulation.

7.  Your Bedroom

Cleanliness has always been our top priority and it will always be. We deep clean and sanitise all the rooms sanitised to a high standard using EU standard BS1SEN1276 cleaners and sanitised. We have removed additional soft furnishings and printed materials to minimise contact surfaces. We have hard floor and washable vertical blind (no carpet, no curtain). We do disinfect all the touchable surface as switcher, lamp, handle, door, etc… We ensure windows remain open for many hours after the check out to allow plenty of fresh air.

Towels and linen are packed and collected by professional laundry and washed above 60 degrees.

8. Easy Contact

To reduce personal contact we have implemented a range of on-line contact methods including SMS and WhatsApp.

9. Breakfast Service

To provide a high quality, smooth breakfast service we will request breakfasts are pre-ordered the night before. We will serve your breakfast to your table, including tea, coffee and juice. With regret there will not be a buffet.

We have reduced the capacity of our breakfast room by 50% according to social distancing rules.

You can choose you “breakfast time slot”, 30 minutes per room, from 7.30 am to 10 am. If required, breakfast could be served in the bedrooms.

11. Methods of Payment

Our preferred method of payment is debit or credit card but we will accept cash if necessary. At check-in we will ask if it is acceptable for us to take payment automatically removing the need to use the credit card machine. An invoice will be emailed to you.

12. Express Check-out

To reduce contact with staff and other guests we are happy for guests to leave without any formalities provided payment has been processed and your key has been returned.

We ask that if you are feeling unwell prior to your visit, do not travel!
